Hello, I’m Jarett, and I would be honored to serve as your mayor.

Santa Clara is a special place, and I truly feel that I have made a positive difference serving as your city councilman the last ten years. My experience, track record, and willingness to listen to residents make me uniquely qualified to serve as your mayor. I will have an open door policy whenever a resident wants to meet with me, and I will always ensure our community values are part of every decision I make.

About Me

I graduated from BYU in 2005 with a degree in business management. Soon after, I married my wife, Jenna, and we moved back to her hometown of Santa Clara. We’re the parents of five wonderful children, and have owned and operated Laser Mania Family Fun Center for almost 20 years. I have chaired boards for the Kite Festival, Community Education Channel, and Southwest Mosquito Abatement District. I completed the Leadership Dixie program in 2022 and served on the board for three years. I love spending time with my family and gardening.

My Top Priorities For Santa Clara

Power Costs

Big changes are coming to energy markets in the West. I have attended many trainings on how our power department can adapt.

Sustainable Development

I am very mindful of how new projects will affect power rates, water availability, and demands on police, fire, sewer, and streets.

Splash Pad

We need to rebuild our current splash pad and reroute the drain into the sewer so the water can be part of our re-use system.

Approaching Build-out

We’re quickly running out of vacant land in Santa Clara. City departments and budgets will need to change dramatically soon.

Water Source Development

The city has unused water rights and I will push to develop a new well either within city limits or in Snow Canyon.

New Cemetery Location

We’re rapidly running out of cemetery space. I will continue the search for land to build a new cemetery.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are my core campaign principles?

I stand for integrity, fiscal responsibility, and transparency. I will uphold our community values and manage growth carefully.

What is my vision for Santa Clara?

We are so fortunate to live in such a wonderful community. Projects proposed in our city need to encourage community involvement. While some transitional housing is necessary in all cities, I feel we should be focusing on single family homes on small lots.
